Summary/Purpose of Position:
The primary purpose of the Technical Service Sr. Specialist ? Field Nutrition is to be responsible for supporting the technical service needs of customers, fellow nutritionists and the United Animal Health territory and strategic sales teams by utilizing knowledge, expertise, customer feedback and current research. This position will also focus on our problem-solving sales approach with existing customers and ensure customer satisfaction by providing product quality information as well as analysis, research and results from research trials and other sources of credible information.
Primary Job Responsibilities/Duties, but not limited to the following:
Provide expert technical advice to the sales, marketing and operation units, support sales team to achieve allocated sales target.
Support and work alongside other technical service team members on the education of Sales (Strategic Account and Territory) Managers regarding nutrition outcomes and technology utilization.
Develop and conduct internal and external technical presentations to support sales and technical service
Assist in development of the Technical Services work plan, ensuring that sufficient resources are available both internally and externally to meet customers' requirements.
Provides feedback on market development and customer needs to steer innovative product development.
Manage product evaluation and development of assigned product category.
Prepare species business case and coordinate with marketing team to prepare sales tools and programs for successful achievement of required market share.
Assist Research team to evaluate field trails, suggest product testing and product development.
Contribute actively to discussion of protocols, data, and project reports as a member of the UAH Technical Service Team.
Supervise and collaborate with UAH researchers and external scientists to execute research projects as needed
Analyze data related to nutrition, feed ingredients, and diets as they relate to growth, performance, and costs.
Engage as a critical member of customer teams through building relations, providing technical resources, coaching colleagues and collaborating on strategy.
Attend scientific meetings and deliver presentations at such meetings.
In order to apply for this position, the candidate must meet the following requirements:
Skill & Knowledge Requirements:
4-6 years professional experience in animal nutrition and animal research and/or technical service roles
Education Requirements:
M.S. in Animal Science or related field or equivalent professional experience
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally
Ability to work both in office and farm environment
Specialized Job/Technical Knowledge:
Extensive knowledge of feed and livestock industries with proven track record of accomplishment in livestock production, health and animal nutrition.
Experience in applying nutritional knowledge in feed or feed ingredients is essential.
Good industry contacts and proven industry relationship.
Excellent knowledge of animal nutrition principles
Knowledge of customer business success factors to provide meaningful technical services
Ability to use Microsoft Office for presentation and statistical analysis purposes

Champion of United Animal Health Culture
Other Preferred Skills:
PhD in Animal Nutrition is preferred
