8K a year Summary/Purpose of Position:
The primary function of this position is to assist with quality activities within the Nutrition Division.
The role will lead continuous improvement of the overall quality system and reliability of products and services.
The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that facilities are meeting established quality standards and that customer expectations are being met.
Primary Job Responsibilities/Duties:
Coordinates and assists with implementation of quality assurance policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards Coordinates and provides training and guidance to employees on quality assurance principles, practices, and procedures to foster a culture of quality and accountability Coordinates facility management reviews and implements corrective and preventive measures Supports the development and implementation of improved quality reporting measures Conducts gap analysis of quality systems and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement Oversees and maintains the corrective and preventive action system Supports quality related customer complaint investigations and trending activities Oversees the supplier and in-house nonconformances Assists with internal and external auditing of facilities Facilitates traceability exercises Stays updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and implement best practices Additional Job Responsibilities/Duties Maintains knowledge of Quality Assurance Manual, Animal Food Safety Plans and the Animal Food Fraud Prevention and Defense Manual Serves as member on the Feed & Food Safety Team Serves as substitute for quality and regulatory team members, as needed Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Research, Production, and Supply Chain, to address quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions Manages supplies of current and old Feed Additive Compendiums, AAFCO Official Publications and electronic subscriptions for medicatedfeeds.
com Typical Work Environment Majority of work is conducted in a temperature-controlled office environment Exposed to a variety of environmental conditions in the mills including dusty conditions Approximately 10% of time may be spent traveling to our feed mill facilities, customer sites, and industry conferences Minimum Job Qualification Requirements:
Education/Training:
BS Degree in Agriculture or related field or a minimum of two years' experience in quality, regulatory, and animal feed safety Specialized Job/Technical Knowledge:
Knowledge of FSMA and medicated feed cGMPs Knowledge of state and federal feed regulations Knowledge of quality issues/concerns in the feed industry (past, present, & future) Knowledge of feed manufacturing and product delivery Knowledge of third-party certification programs relevant to the industry FSMA Preventive Control Qualified Individual Training Quality and regulatory auditing Non-Technical Skills and Abilities:
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Ability to handle critical situations when a quality complication arises Proactive approach with quality issues Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent organizational skills Team player Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills Attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results Proficient in data analysis and statistical techniques for quality improvement Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications:
2 years of professional experience in quality, regulatory and food safety Possess extensive knowledge and organization when coordinating quality and regulatory applications Job Type:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
